how to copy the contents from a program file to another doc  file with syntax lighlighting, to take color print outs, like Vim editor

Vim has everything, not vi.

For PDF,

:hardcopy > %.ps

$ps2pdf14 foo.ps

For HTML,

:TOhtml

For syntax highlighting

:sy on

in ~/.vimrc
